HAPPY BIRTHDAY, 宝贝!

I am happy today…

August 30, 2007

After more than 2 weeks of ding-ding-dong-dong about potty training…

I complained that I am tired.

Then, I finally found her preference position.

Today, is the day that Anne can sign me whenever she wanted to pee, with 100% success rate when she is diaper-free. Anyway, I still let her wear her diaper when:

  • we go out (except go down stairs to ride her bike).
  • she is sleeping

Now I can tell you, if your toddler rejected potty and toilet seat, nevermind. Try my method - squat down with your toddler inside the bath room. Hahaha…

Run away Anne.

August 28, 2007

One day, while I was busy preparing our dinner, Anne decided to run away. She packed some “useless” things into her trolley beg and left the house.

collage6.jpg

-She stopped and waved goodbye to me.-

But after a while she turned back, appeared at our doorstep again.

collage12.jpg

-Mummy, I am back.-

Why she turned back? Because she decided to change to her backpack, easier mah, no need use hand also can!! Some more can bring umbrella… Who knows when will rain woh!!

collage22.jpg

-OK, I am ready to run away again!! Bye mummy!-

After 1 minute, she decided to come back again. May be bring umbrella very leceh (troublesome) loh, better bring Po out!

 collage32.jpg

-Finally I am ready to run away now!-

Anyway, she returned home very soon. Outside food not nice mah!! Better stick to daddy and mummy all the time!

collage41.jpg

-Mummy, I play play with you lah… I won’t run way one….-

-THE END-

Teething, again!

August 21, 2007

I think Anne is going through another round of teething again. I hope this is the last round… I hope the last 2 teeth will pop-up together, not one after another!!!

She:

  • had diarrhea last few days.
  • always bite herself while she is eating… So kesian!
  • love to 磨牙
  • very sticky (to me)

I spotted that her gum is quite swollen and red. She refused to let her daddy go to bed with her! She wants me, me, me and me!!! She will continuously say “不要, 不要, 不要” to daddy when daddy wants to kiss goodnite to her. Hiayaa…

Moment to jot down…

August 14, 2007

Today, at 12+pm, Anne signal me that she wanted to shit by saying “pet-pet”. She was diaper-less that time, so I quicky stop what I was doing and bring her to toilet. I let her sit on her new training-toilet-seat and start talking to her and make some “emmmp… emmp….” sound. In less than 2 minutes…. ta-ta-ta-ta…. I was so happy to see her sh*t “blooop” down into the toilet bowl. *I tell you, this is much more happy than seeing gold* :-D

I am lucky?

August 13, 2007

Today, don’t know what-wind-blow-over-my-mind (吹什么风), after Anne did her “big business” in her diaper, I decided to let her wear her pants only (diaper-less). Loong is not that supportive when comes to potty train Anne. He will nag and nag about the carpet issue. Well, since he is not around, I will do what I want to do and love to do, 吹meh!

Anne was diaper-less from 10:15am to 1:00pm. Within this 2 hours and 45 mins, she soiled 4 pants. From the title, I say I am lucky… Why? In this apartment, only kitchen, bath-room and toilet are carpet-less. Every time when Anne wanted to pee, she was in the kitchen area (well, coincident I was in the kitchen). So, my carpet still safe from her urine!! :-D

Let see what will happen after she wakes up from her afternoon nap. I will let her go diaper-less again! Wish me good luck! I believe every time when she wanted to pee, she went to kitchen to look for me but didn’t know how to tell me. I will continue to talk and encourage her to tell me before she wants to pee and let her sit on her toilet seat more often. I bought the following training-toilet-seat last week from ebay, I hope she will accept the seat and won’t tell me “No, no” like how she rejects her potty!

I trimmed Anne’s hair. Yes, you see it right! Althought her hair so SHORT, I trimmed her hair SHORTER!

picture-092-1.jpg

-Mummy cut my hair so short and urgly!!!-

My parents, my sisters, my brother, SIL all shoooooot me after they saw Anne with her new hair style. So, do you want to shooooooot me also? Come, SHOOOOOOOT!!

But… I think she looks so cute with her new look! Hahaha….

When I was a teenager, I have a wish. I wish that I can visit Holland and see windmills with my own eyes. Today, my dream comes true.

20070803-kinderdijk-117.jpg

Date: 3rd August 2007

How to get there:

  • Train: From Station Delft to Station Rotterdam Lambardijen.
  • Bus No. 90 - €2.00 per adult per trip (this is holiday rate, normal rate will be €5.00 for a return ticket).

The Netherlands is famous for its windmills. Nowhere in the world you will find as many windmills as near (the Dutch village) Kinderdijk. In 1997 the mills of Kinderdijk were put on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. We can see 19 sturdy mills here which is maintains and preserves by the foundation “Wereld Erfgoed Kinderdijk”. The preservation is not limited to the windmills themselves, but also covers the area in which the windmills are situated.

We went there with another 2 families, Dian-Dian’s family and Yang’s family. Both are from China. We met at Delft’s train station at 9:00am.

-In the bus, see, Anne can show victory sign now :-) -

collage11.jpg

-Turn clockwise: Anne refused to sit on her stroller, she wanted to walk! Dian-Dian and Anne. Anne and mommy pak-toh in front of a windmill. More windmills.-

-Windmills. We do not have a high-tech camera, this is the best we can show. -

We also went for a boat ride which cost us €2.00 per adult. After the ride, we had our home-packed lunch under the big-bright-sun.

-2 children earning their pocket money. We saw them spent the money they earn for 2 ice-creams!-

We took 1:45pm bus to go back to Rotterdam train station and reach home around 3:00pm. Anne slept 5 minutes after we board the bus, but she only slept for 40 mins, she woke up when we reach Rotterdam train station. Because not enough rest, the rest of the day Anne acted super active… Scream and scream and scream crazily… Yes, this is the side-effect if she didn’t get enough sleep!

p/s: For a bigger size for some of the pictures, you can see it here!

Date: 1st August 2007

  • Bus (No. 44).

Entrance Fees: €16.50 per adults €3.50 per adults with Rotterdampas.

-The naughty Anne-

Frankly speaking, a little disappoited. Here, what you see is a lot of HUGE cages/fences (this is very good for animals) but it’s very difficult for us to find and see animals that is supposed to let us see (area for animals too big already). May be we were too early (10+am), many animals still in their sweet dream. I think this is also due to their places at the top of its priorities: nature conservation.

collage3.jpg

The only place which I think worth my entrance fees is the water continent “Oceanium”. We were like making a magical journey over the bottom of the sea. We also saw many marine and coastal inhabitants such as fish (from herring to sharks), sea-otters, puffins, snakes and a large group of king penguins.

-We were welcome by Penguins and Flamingo at the entrance-

-Animals, animals and more animals…-

-At the Oceanium-

I will visit Zoo Negara when we back in Malaysia!
